Things, Todoist and Reminders are actually excellent at quick capture. In some ways they're almost perfect for it. The problem is what happens immediately afterwards – your idea becomes a task.
Tasks carry baggage. They want to be completed, scheduled, prioritised or ticked off. A half-formed prompt isn't necessarily something you owe your future self. It might just be something interesting that you want to keep around until the right moment.
Snop treats prompts as prompts. They can sit inside a project without becoming another red badge, overdue item or tiny source of guilt. When you actually use one, that's when Snop considers it done.
