Snop vs Notion

Sometimes Notion feels like using a jackhammer to hang a poster.

We really like Notion. It's brilliant for projects, docs, databases, wikis and a ridiculous number of other things. But when we just want to capture one prompt while we're walking, all that power starts to feel like quite a lot of machinery.

You can absolutely build a prompts database, create properties, organise views and make a lovely system. But then you've built a system. Capturing, editing and using a quick idea – particularly on the go or offline – still feels heavier than it should.

Snop deliberately does much less. Capture the prompt. Tag the project. Edit it cleanly. Copy it when you need it. Mark it used. For this particular job, less is the feature.
