Snop vs messaging yourself

Why quick self-messaging breaks down when prompts need organising, editing and finding again.

If your best prompt strategy is WhatsApp-ing 2am thoughts to yourself, you're not alone.

Messaging yourself is wonderfully quick. It also feels a little bit like having a very specific conversation with yourself that nobody else should ever see.

The bigger problem comes later. Prompts disappear into a stream of links, reminders, photos and whatever else you've sent yourself. Finding one again is painful, organising them by project is basically nonexistent, and editing a half-finished prompt is more fiddly than it has any right to be.

Snop is built specifically for this job – capture something quickly, tag it to a project, edit it properly later, then copy it when you're ready to use it. Once copied, it's marked as used. Less archaeological digging through your own WhatsApp history.
