Why we chose native Apple apps
A carefully crafted capture experience, and prompts that stay on your devices and in your private iCloud. Two reasons we chose Apple.

We chose to build Snop natively for iPhone, iPad and Mac for two reasons: how it feels, and where your prompts live.
Crossplatform prototypes
We first built cross-platform prototypes with React Native for mobile and Electron for desktop. They worked, but we weren't happy with the smoothness of the interactions or the native feel of the app.
When an idea arrives, you want to keep it and carry on. We wanted to get those few seconds right: the layout, the controls, the animations and the transitions. Going native let us craft that capture experience using Apple's own tools.
On iPhone, the capture sheet zooms out of the coral button, then shrinks into your new prompt when you save. A small detail, but you can see exactly where your thought went. Those details matter to us.
Privacy benefits
Staying with Apple also gives us iCloud. Your prompts live on your devices and sync through the private iCloud linked to your Apple Account. Capture works offline too.
There's no Snop account, no separate hosted prompt database, and no extra provider receiving your prompt content to sync it. Apple handles iCloud under its own privacy terms. We don't receive your prompts, so we can't read them.
Apple only is a deliberate limit. It lets us focus on making that one journey feel good: capture there, use here.
