Your best prompts don't always happen when you're sitting in front of the agent.
ChatGPT, Claude and coding tools are where the work eventually happens. But they're not always where the idea happens. If you're offline, they may not work at all. And even with a connection, a lot of proper agentic work still depends on the files, tools and setup sitting back on your computer.
There's another benefit to separating writing from sending. A blank writing surface gives you a moment to actually compose the prompt – edit it, restructure it and think it through – without every press of Enter feeling like you're about to fire another instruction at the agent.
